This excellent tool has a heavier footprint, so is not included on our standard machines, but is available upon request. For instructional and support purposes, this is a very valuable tool and has been made part of our standard Mac and Windows base images.Ĭamtasia complements the functionality of Snagit to include comprehensive video and audio recording of your screen, along with a powerful but simple timeline-based editor. Snagit allows you to capture, modify, and share screenshots and basic desktop video captures. Both software packages are available at no cost. On computers where Camtasia is not installed, you can download the TSC2 Codec for free to play TREC files. The TREC file format (using TSC2 Codec) is a single container for various multimedia objects including video clips, images, screen captures and audio/video effects.
